Ali Hadji-Heshmati is a British-Iranian television actor. His projects prior to Lockwood & Co. have included Bad Education, Holby City and Alex Rider.
Behind the scenes[]
Hadji-Heshmati was interviewed about his role in Lockwood & Co. by Country and Townhouse. He stated that his own teenage years weren't nearly as interesting as those of his character. He dropped out of full-time studies at the University of Oxford upon taking the role of George for the series, but continues to study there part-time. He initially dreamed of becoming an astronaut prior to getting into acting. To help himself get into character for the role of George, he created "four pretentious playlists" of music he imagined George being into.[1] During production of Lockwood & Co., Hadji-Heshmati accidentally ruined one of the show's "Thinking Cloth" props by spilling a jug of milk on it, believing the jug to be empty. The accident was jokingly dubbed "Milkgate."[2]
