Also known as a halo or nimbus, a ghost's aura is the ring of other-light surrounding it. Most auras are rather faint and best seen out of the corner of the eye. If an aura is especially bright, it is most often just called other-light[1]. It is possible that auras change with the mood of a visitor, just like other-light does, but this is not confirmed.
Examples[]
Annabel Ward[]
- Main article: Annabel Ward
Annabel Ward's ghost emitted a faint aura, which was almost outshined by her ghost-fog. The aura did not appear to change[2].
Red Room Cluster[]
- Main article: Combe Carey Hall
The Cluster in the Red Room did not have any noticeable aura. This might be because the cluster's apparition was that of a changer, and not a typical human form. It also lacked ghost-fog and other-light[3].
