Rotwell Agency is the second-oldest and most widely hired psychical investigation agency in London.

The agency's symbol is a sword, inspired by the homemade sword Tom Rotwell used destroying the Mud Lane Phantom. Beside him during the encounter was Marissa Fittes holding a lantern, which also became the Fittes Agency's symbol.

Another symbol of the agency is a lion and its mascot is Roger the Lion.

History[]

Creation[]

Around 1962,[citation needed] several of the first Visitors appeared in Britain, including two cases called the Highgate Terror and the Mud Lane Phantom.[citation needed] The country was clueless, and deaths begun to pile up. As panic rose, Marissa Fittes and Tom Rotwell, two teens, were able to locate the Source of both the Highgate Terror and Mud Lane Phantom and subdue them. In the Mud Lane case, the remains of a highwayman named Long Hugh Hennratty was the source, subdued by Rotwell between June 19-25 1962,[citation needed] while Fittes held the ghost off with an iron rail. Their adventures became national news, and Visitors and their danger were soon common knowledge. Fittes' and Rotwell's success is still revered and constantly referred to in psychic education. As the Problem continued grow, so did the need for a solution. Soon, Marissa Fittes set up the first psychical investigation agency, and Rotwell followed.

Growth[]

The agency had become to be known also for its inventions on equipment that deals with ghosts. One of its centers were built in Aldbury Castle. The building was erected atop a land where a ninth-century battle had occurred between Vikings and Saxons. The old battle left a great deal of sources for the agency to experiment on. Using this resources, they began to created all the equipments, which later will be used by their agent. Later, they started to sell the equipments they made to the other agencies.

Demise[]

Lockwood & Co. discovered the Rotwell Agency to be secretly conducting illegal experiments, trespassing on the Other Side and stirring up ghost activity. Following this discovery and the death of Steve Rotwell, the Rotwell Agency was absorbed into the Fittes Agency.
